Just what I needed. Now I can ref with another material.

This book brushes on subjects and doesnt really get into security. Many of the subject were already covered in a Linux+ book. Most this was a waste of money.

Needed it for class, I was not really impressed, a lot of repetitive information in the book and not a great learning tool in my opinion.

Great book, I bought brand new and very helpful thru my class. It explain Linux applications very good and gives guy quizzes at the end of the chapter.

Brand new, great quality.

Item was damaged in shipping, but was still in way better shape than I thought it would be for what I paid for it. I will make sure amazon is my first stop next semester for all of my books.

Acclaimed biographer, Jean Fritz, was born in China to American missionaries on November 16, 1915. Living there until she was almost thirteen sparked a lifelong interest in American history.  She wrote about her childhood in China in Homesick, My Own Story, a Newbery Honor Book and winner of the National Book Award.      Ms. Fritz was the author of forty-five books for children and young people. Many center on historical American figures, gaining her a reputation as the premier author of biographies for children and young people.      Among the other prestigious awards Ms. Fritz has garnered are: the National Humanities Medal, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, the May Hill Arbuthnot Lecture Award. the Christopher Award, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Non-Fiction Award, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and many ALA Notable Books of the Year, School Library Journal Best Books of the Year, and ALA Booklist Editors’ Choice Awards.      She passed away on May 14, 2017.

This book was for an extra credit book report for my son. This was his extra project for the month of April. What a nice book. It is accurate,& informative, but the way Jean Fritz presents the information she keeps a childs attention. My third grader was entertained while he learned something new. The illustrations added to the content without being a distraction. We read the book together, and I was so impressed with Jean Fritz that I plan on buying another book by her.

This is for older students - maybe 3rd grade on up....

This book is great! It is an easy read but with solid information. Creating a fifth grease PBL unit and used this for one of my resources!

The book itself is great! It was delivered quickly, but the binding is bent out of shape and the book does not lie flat. Disappointing for a new book.
