I really like this book. Especially the full page, color, close-up, photos of what the recipe results will look like (or supposed to.) I like the crumbs at the bottom of the bag. I add them to plain yogurt, sprinkle them on ice cream and add them to a morning protein drink.

Looking forward to trying several of the recipes, especially the Brownie Buckeye Cookies. Great pictures of mostof the results but not all. Still a nice little book with some new ideas.

Who needs yet another cookbook? You do--if you love chocolate--and who doesn't? This lady knows chocolate like no other. Truly inventive great recipes--I really want to try them all--and great photos. My wife and I argue over which recipe to try next. The perfect gift for the holidays. Hope you enjoy this book as much as my family and I do.

If you love Sheila G's, Brownie Brittle, this is the cookbook for you. Although, you don't need a cookbook to enjoy Brownie Brittle, but the recipes are fun to try.

A long time ago I read a magazine article with a Buddhist-influenced perspective on how one can engage with cleaning as a wholesome, peaceful, enjoyable activity, instead of a drudgery to be avoided or rushed through, and it always stuck with me. So I immediately purchased this book after hearing about it on a mental health forum.I enjoyed that it explained the perspective of a Buddhist monk and offered its advice in clean direct prose, without bloating the volume with unnecessary anecdotes or tangents. I enjoyed how he named all the traditional garments and tools and the sources he himself uses. The book has the feel of someone genuinely relaying how it works at the temple, the day to day situations that occur, and how they are responded to. In this way it feels like learning from your grandmother, why she does things the way she does things, after a lifetime of experience.I like to leave the book out and pick it up to re-read sections when I am feeling overwhelmed or lost. I find that other people are attracted to reading bits out of it too. It's a very good book to recommend to others because it isn't a huge commitment to read the whole thing, and you get a lot of good out of reading even a few pages.

I liked the very first chapter quite a bit, as it presents what I believe is the key insight. But then after that, it seemed some of the things seemed impractical, and I really did get this for practical insight. For example, I don't think the Buddhist temple garb is likely to be particularly practical as dress for daily activity and cleaning in an American home, despite the praise the author makes. I own this type of garb, are really would not find it comfortable going about my general day in it - I would stand out, and it simply is not as practical as a pair of jeans, sneakers, and t-shirt or sweatshirt. Then again, others might be looking at this for more insight into Buddhist temple life, so I notched it up from 2 stars to 3. It is a slim volume that is attractive, and will look nice on the shelf, but it also took a much longer amount of time to arrive than other books. So, overall, I was a little disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high?

This book was practical and simple to read. I used the lessons of the monks to teach the children the idea of ethical cleanliness. It’s been a bunch of fun and generated great questions from the kids. I learned things too and I never leave a room without it looking better than when I walked in. It’s all really simple.

The book does an excellent job of making the case for a clean home and how it reflects on the state of your mind. It is simply written and a quick read. I’d recommend it to anyone who is trying to find ways of calming their mind. I’ve started cleaning in the morning and I find myself not only more productive throughout the day, but also with a clearer mind and heart.

Excellent book, even with a few errors. This is a good reference book for people interested in conspiracy theories. There were a few errors. The author said the social security administration ordered 200million rounds of ammo, actually the administration ordered 475,000 rounds of ammo. It was the entire DHS that ordered the 200 million rounds. The other mistake I saw was the authors chapter on voter suppression. Voter ID laws are meant to prevent fraud. I work in a store where you need a photo ID to pick up an item, even small items like pens or notebooks. Other than that, I liked this book and will order another one for an Xmas gift for a relative.

Seems like a well written, & good general explanation!You can see the Author went through lots of Data to put this together.

I have been basically following Mefford's work since I first started reading him. All the releases (I think). This is the second one in this series, and I hoped it would be better than the first one, but, instead, I find I have bigger issues with it than the previous book.The first - and biggest - problem is his shifting of perspective AND narrative between both his protagonists. Chain is a man. Ball is a woman. He attempts to write each in first person - but they don't occur to me as distinct and different. It is possible for a man to write first person from a woman's perspective - that's not the issue. It can be done - I just don't find that he did it distinctly enough so I can tell one from the other.Add, of course, that he's also got a third narrative voice - in this case third person - and it doesn't do well. One literally must read his little marker before each chapter to find out who he's talking as, versus knowing by the way the character's voice appears that it's definitely one - or the other.I suspect my review is one of the few for less than 5 stars. But in my world, that's got to be earned. There are too many thriller writers self-publishing. If there was no competition - or he had no back catalog - I could see a higher rating. But based on his work to date, this series is not on the same plane as his other work. Sorry to see that.

This second book of The Ball and Chain Thrillers allows the reader to get to know Cooper and Willow better, as these old friends continue to become reacquainted while finding themselves in an entertaining mix of dilemmas. Both characters have some pretty heavy baggage from the many years their lives were on separate paths. This makes them seem all the more realistic, and adds to the redevelopment of their relationship. The overlapping of Cooper's magazine article and issues involving a patient of Willow's was well done. The surprises continued until the very end, leaving me very anxious for the next book in the series.The main story of this book can stand alone, but the reader will enjoy it even more if book one has been read first. The author provides background for new readers, but so much more will be gained by actually reading the book for one's self.I received an ARC of this book. I have since purchased my own copy of the novel to show my support of Mr. Mefford whose writings are among my favorites.

I'm a Mefford fan at this point. However, anytime a new series starts you wonder, will it live up to expectations? This does! This second book could stand alone but is just better because of the first book. It's funny and lighter in tone, with a tad more romance, while still not losing any of the twists and mysteries that we have come to anticipate from this author. The conversations feel very real and it's easy to get swept away into the story. While my first copy was from the author, I have since purchased my own.

This is the second Willow Ball and Cooper Chain suspense novel. I was quickly thrust into the characters and their developing chemistry. The plot has multiple angles and it will keep you engrossed throughout. I love John W. Meffords writing style and look forward to many more from him.

This is Book 2 in the new series Ball & Chain. The way it is presented, I found it to be quite a fun read even though it deals with a horrible crime. Willow Ball and Cooper Chain have a very comedic relationship that actually is the foundation for the story. Since he is starting from scratch on these two characters in this new series (there is no carry-over from the Redemption series), the author is building their characters and relationships through comedy and considerable adventure. 18 years ago Chain and Ball were close friends/somewhat lovers, and, due to a rash educational/athletic decision by Chain, separated without any further contact. Until recently... Book 1 introduces these crazy friends/now associates/now crime solvers, and Book 2 continues their unusual relationship which includes slapstick comedy, horrible bad guys, crime solving, very needy and not so needy friends and relatives, and very complicated personal relationships from now and from the 18 years they were apart. This series is definitely a change from the Redemption series which was more serious, but we still have the same excellent writing, exciting plots, horrible crimes, and character relationships that are fun to watch develop. This is a series to enjoy as it grows. Lots of fun. Highly recommend.

No author except John Mefford could create a funny thriller like this series. The twists and turn that Willow and Cooper get involved with are by no means funny. They are scary, seem real and dangerous all at once. The funny comes in during the interaction between Ball and Chain aka Willow and Cooper. Only a master author can mix both thrills and comedy into one series and succeed. This series is a really good one. I love it. It is light hearted but keeps you chained to your seat with all the action that involves Willow and Cooper. I can’t wait for the next one. Give MERCY (the first book) a chance and I’m sure you will continue with FEAR and the next one. You won’t be disappointed! Kudos to John Mefford on another fantastic series.

Cooper and Willow get tangled up in a bunch of crime, from murder to drugs to kidnapping and more.It's a truly enjoyable read. I was unable to put it down, well almost, took 2 days to read it all. Lots of excitement which will keep you up late, if your a reader like me.

Fear" is a kick-ass thrill ride from page one. With Cooper Ball and Willow chain the adventure is sure to please.. I must say I have read all of Mr Mefford's books and this series is the best hands down.. !! As a master of story tellingfrom his pen flows action-packed adventures for the armchair traveler who enjoys a thrilling escape. Devoid of the predictable he incorporates real-life flawed characters that are very relative .. His mysteries are exciting as he aims to kidnap the reader from the mundane and plunge them into feel-good riddle-solving quests filled with danger, sabotage, humor, adventure, and mystery!Great Job Mr Mefford keep them coming !

This book has alot of information but I don't like the way it goes back and forth. It tells you how to do things but then you have to go back to a earlier chapter to get some of the information you need to finish the task. I bought another book called tips and tricks for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 it is easier to follow if you are like me, I am not good with computer stuff.

This book looks very similar to the "Samsung Galaxy Tab S and Nook for Dummies" but is much better written, and you don't have to keep checking whether a feature being described is only in the "Nook" model. I'm glad I looked through both before buying this one - it's so much easier to follow and very thorough, it really helped when I had just bought a Tab S as my first tablet.

This is a great book for people who are new to Android, like myself. I sat there and read the whole thing with my Tablet in my lap and found the book very useful. The author uses a good deal of humor throughout which I also liked. If you are a more advanced user, I'm not sure how much you'd get from this book, but then again, why would you be reading a Dummies book.

I love all DUMMIES books. I recently bought the new Samsung Galasy Tab S2. This book is easy to follow and easy to find things. It has extensive information, and the usual excellent quality of BUNNIES books. I use mine for quick reference when I come across new tasks. I recommend it. http://amzn.to/2arFi5E

Still trying to figure out what is your with my Samsung Tablet...this book did not help with the question I had, but has been helpful with other question

Printed on inexpensive paper and poorly illustrated. The section that describes the buttons and button features does not even have a diagram of the tablet, even the small foldout that came with the tablet has a better description. I really wanted better diagrams and photos in order to understand how to make the tablet work for me, I guess I was the Dummy here.

My Galaxy Tab S was a gift to me. I wanted additional detailed operation instructions to quickly learn it's features. This is the best user manual purchase I've made. Delivered in less time than expected. It covers many areas/uses that I was not aware of. I keep in on my desk and on my end table by my recliner for use at home. Great for looking up new uses, too. Price was "right" too.

Good general information, but did not provide the specifics i was looking for. It serves a good guide for the beginners.
