There are so many things wrong with this book. To start, the cover photo shows pasta - not Keto. The interior photos are low quality Black & White and do not always depict the food in the recipe. Example: the granola on page 26 clearly shows rolled oats in the photo (not Keto), and is different from the recipe. On page 70 you’ll see another image of pasta salad (not Keto) as the first image in the lunch recipes section. There is no corresponding recipe. Page 108 features a potato salad (not Keto). The portobello burger on page 28 calls for portobello mushrooms as the bun, but the photo clearly shows bread being used. Then there’s the awful, childish writing. Example: for the pancakes on page 55 the author writes “take out a frying pan and fry the pancakes on both sides”. There is amateur, bad writing throughout. While the cover of this books states it is “a complete guide for beginners” it does nothing to explain what Keto is, and features recipes that any true Keto expert would cringe at. What a waste of money!

The recipes in this book are so delicious. Also, I see that people are getting confused about the "5-ingredient" part in the title. There's obviously more than 5 ingredients needed. Each recipe has its 5 main ingredients, not 5 ingredients total in the book. My favorites are the jalapeno bacon egg cups, shrimp and avocado salad, and the Parmesan baked chicken.

This cookbook definitely helps me stay motivated to eat healthy and meant to benefit a beginner and change your lifestyle and it discusses where fats and calories come in when it comes to diet and weight loss and contains the following to help you meal prep keto diet meals effectively and inside this book you will find delicious and satisfying meal prep-friendly breakfast recipes,delectable and filling meal prep-friendly lunch recipes and much more and all the recipes inside are keto friendly thus geared towards weight loss and a healthy lifestyle and even I will be able to stick to my diet with these quick to prepare keto recipes and if you are short of time and needs detailed advice on prepping your food for your Keto diet, this might be the ideal book for you and i have learn everything to grasp to success prepare ketogenic meals prior to while not losing all the advantages of the keto diet and i have also discovered a way to mix the keto diet with meal homework to finally say good-bye to wasted cash time and energy on unneeded looking journeys and forgotten rotten food within the back of electric refrigerator and even i will be able to stick to my diet with these quick to prepare keto recipes!

I purchased this book because I’m on maternity leave and would like to stay keto. Normally I cook every day, but it’s harder now. This book gave a lot of ideas on how to cook things ahead, use fewer dishes, gives ideas for paleo keto, and other options on how to make the recipe different. There’s no pictures, which can deter some people, but I’m ok with it. This has made it easier to stick with keto, have delicious meals while doing minimal work and clean up. We even had some of the ingredients for a few meals in the freezer already! This is my go to book right now.

The book is 75% recipes and 25% info and instruction. I’ve tried a few of the recipes already and they were easy to follow and tasted very good. Great book! Nice

Wow! Yummy! We saw the TV documentary about this diet and were impressed by the results this man got following this diet. The book is clear and concise and contains recipes in the back of the book. If you are disciplined enough to be able to fast for two days a week, it will work wonders for you. I loved this book about the immigration of Irving Berlin and other Jewish immigrants. I myself am a second-generation American who was born to an Italian who hated racism above all things. By racism, I mean dislike for any group of people unlike oneself. My grandparents entered this country through Ellis Island. I am proud to be an American because this country gave my family a chance to live and prosper in an atmosphere of freedom. Although the book is relatively short, it is well written and clearly illustrates the magnanimous way that most Americans throughout our history have treated the immigrant. I am not naive. I know the struggles endured by the immigrants because of the white Anglo-Saxon Protestants who lived here before the great migration of people from other lands. But they are not representative of America. It is we who live and work in harmony with persons from all nations who represent the true spirit of America.

Interesting weaving of the difficult immigration issue with the life of Irving Berlin. Worth reading especially for anyone whose relatives came thru Ellis Island. I am glad I was born in the USA!!!

More of a view of one families life through the early part of the century. It does support the only in America concept though. Escaping tyranny for a better life here.

A good survey of immigration into the US and particularly Ellis Island. Most Americans can see a shadowy past in their own families here.

A great read about the American spirit forged out of the millions of immigrants that came to the United States for a better opportunity. Easy to read and a great historical perspective of those that passed through Ellis Island, most notably Irving Berlin.

An excellent history lesson of immigrants from Europe. And a wonderful tribute to Irving Berlin. Thank you, Mr. Jackson .

Even though this book covered a couple hundred years it is worth spending time immersed in this historical period of time. Readers interested in family history and genealogy would appreciate this author.

Very interesting historical account of immigrants coming to America. Special attention paid the Irving Berlin and his family.

This book is an absolute treasure! I bought the book for my son and he loves the story! He cannot get enough of the characters and storyline and looks forward to more adventures of these LITLLE RIPPERS! He himself cannot wait to hit the slopes !! (He has never skiied before and now wants to more than ever!)What a perfect book for children of all ages! Do yourself and your children a favor and purchase this book! You will surely not regret it!

More of a young readers book rather than a kids bedtime book- will be great in a few more years- minimal illustrations.

We loved this book. My 6 year old son would not put it down and would stay up at night to try to get through another chapter. The story is great and exciting for my 6 year old while at the same time teaching some important lessons. My son is a skier and loved reading a story about other kids who loved skiing just as much as he does. Lastly, we made Grandpa Jacks Lumberjack Pancakes and they were delicious.

Best skiing book for kids ever! I have read it to my kids and now my 7 year old is reading it himself. I would recommend this to everyone-skiers and non-skiers. Great book!

I have travelled quite a bit in the Highlands for grouse shooting, so when friends wanted to play golf in Scotland I offered to organize our trip. I read about this book and bought it after the fact just to see if there was anything that we could do better on our second trip, which is coming up. Luckily I won't do much differently, but I can say that from our experience Mr. Ferguson is "spot on." He offers excellent and insightful advice on putting a trip together, e.g. don't use a tour operator if you can help it. Just make a few phone calls. You will be well-received, especially at the smaller courses. He gives good travel advice from air travel to ground transportation to accommodation. He describes some of the differences between golf played in the US and the UK. There it is a walking game. Not every course has "buggies" (carts), and some that do require a note from your doctor that says you can't walk. If He mentions some behavior that might irritate the locals such as loud talking on the greens and, a pet peeve of Arnold Palmer's, failure to remove headgear indoors. Finally, of course, he gives detailed information on and lovely descriptions of some 74 courses great and small including many 'hidden gems' that might give you a much better feel for playing golf in a different country and culture. Superb book!

I am currently planning a trip to Scotland with 4 friends in 2017. I started the planning with contacting a couple tour operators and found quotes that were around $5000 including airfare. Seeing that was more than we wanted to spend, I read this book and found it making a trip to Scotland without a tour operator as simple as 1,2,3. It helped us decided when to travel, what courses to play and lodging. The Author, Allan, has also been very helpful in helping us secure a car rental and making other recommendations. Our trip is now going to cost about 1/2 as much quoted by the tour operators.

This book is a "must have" if you are planning a golfing trip to Scotland. It is really all that you need to plan a great trip all on your own. With a computer and email you will be able to make your tee times, book hotels and get your rental car. I have given over 10 copies of this book to friends who want to have a Scotland golfing experience. Allan Ferguson's insights and travel tips, along with his narratives about the 74 courses in the book are just good reading, even if you are not planning to make a trip. It is a wonderful guide.

The TOUR OPERATORS, keep things secret so that you will pay them lots of extra money for their expertise, but with Ferguson's book YOU can be the expert and save tons. I recommend this book highly to anyone contemplating a trip to Scotland. It is worth many times more than you will pay for it.

Great travel planning book. It was our Bible when we planned our trip to Scotland. And, it is a delightful book to read when you return from Scotland. The descriptions of the golf courses and their strengths and weaknesses is spot on.

Have used this book to schedule a 2 week trip to Scotland. Alan Ferguson's details on each golf course and recommendations for itineraries is well worth the investment. Following his advice and piecing 2 of his itineraries together enabled me to schedule the trip with minimal anxiety or concerns. Highly recommend this for anybody considering a trip to Scotland.

although my first hand experience has been limited to the St Andrews area , i found that the book dealt with that area in a manner that is consistent with my observations of the town , restaurants , lodging and the courses ... i will use the book in planning for my next trip there .
