I felt as though the pictures they gave for explaining how to do the individual stitches would have been better if they had used numbers instead of letters. I found them a bit confusing. They could have been simpler. Also, I didn't find directions on things like how to plan out your project, etc. So, if you are a beginner, this book might not be for you.
Very nice book giving many different needlepoint stitches and how to do them both horizontally and diagonally.
What a mistake to use so many pale colors in printing the samples! Without a contrast the stitches fade into the canvas. Unnecessarily challenging to distinguish stitches, direction, count, etc. It is hard to rate the content since so much of it is just a blur! For example, the pale pink/pale yellow/pale lavender yarn worked on off white canvas is a headache waiting to happen.
This is a very useful book. Can be used as a resource for learning or find specific stitches. The book has not only cross stitching but needlepoint and needlework.
The print is rather small and the illustrations need more contrast - pastel shades are bad colors for pictures.
Beautiful stitches and very clear, illustrated instructions.
Great resource book for needlepoint stitchers! Photo illustrations of the stitches very easy to see and many useful stitches shown. This book will definitely be used frequently!
The book was everything I hoped for. Now, I can renew an old favorite craft - needlepoint.
