The seller ended up selling me a counterfeit version of the book so this review could be irrelevant. This is the key pathology learning tool for medical students and if you combine this with Goljan you can learn just about all the path that you would ever want. Highly recommend
Horrible text, I don't think it's the real text book. The pictures are all blurry and the text is so small. Also the binding is messed up. Also I messaged the seller about returning and have not heard a thing. Buy the real one fromPathoma.comAnd don't waste your time with this. Very disappointed in Amazon on selling this crappy version.
I purchased the "new book", but it's actually a new counterfeit copy of the book, I paid more for the "new", but if I had known it wasnt the original one i would have just purchased it through the pathoma website directly. It's ok, but what's frustrating is that it has a lower quality overall, the pictures are smudged, pages are lower quality. buts its usable, for a copy it should be cheaper though.
I would highly recommend avoiding this. If you by it directly from Pathoma its like 20-30$ more but you get his lectures which are very helpful. I ended up buying the book from his site and you can notice that it its nicer quality. The pictures are clearer and there are fewer spelling errors.
Must have for second year medical students. Don't even thing about going without it. This book, in combination with First Aid, is a powerful tool in studying for the STEP1. Don't even think about trying to "acquire" this book through alternative mediums. You're going to want a hard cover as well as the high quality videos that it comes with when you sign up.
Expensive and seems weirdly printed... I would recommend going through Dr. Sattar's website and ordering the whole set (videos + book). I wish I had. I'm glad I have the book, however, as it is really helpful.
I'm excited to continue with my second year at medical school. It is true with the description of the condition of the book, but the title on Amazon said it was the 2016 edition. It's actually the 2014 edition. I guess it's on the picture but I thought that the description of the year on Amazon would be true. It still has useful information and good photos. Can't wait to use it.
It's a very nice summary of what you need to know about Pathology, but it is clearly not a textbook. Book was a little banged up along the way, probably due to mishandling at post offices, but never the less, it arrived with all that was promised.
